Archion

Archion is a cooperative project among the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and the majority of regional protestant churches in Germany. Their database is being continually expanded, supplemented and updated, and new digitized church records from across Germany as well as the former eastern areas of Germany are being added every day. There is a fee structure to download records, but you can check their holdings without paying a fee.

The State Archives of Baden-Württemberg contains eight divisions located in Stuttgart, Ludwigsburg, Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Sigmaringen, Kornwestheim, Wertheim, and Neuenstein. The States Archives secures the written history of B-W as part of our cultural heritage and the culture of remembrance, preserves it, and makes it accessible to every interested party.
